Distraction Camp takes place in a House of Illusions. Inside, live music is performed by a pianist and cellist as actors tango together. Between dances and songs, the actors move to dressing areas at the edge of the stage, and prepare for a series of performances, given for the audience and for each other.

Tango Bajo, one of Melbourne's established tango schools, is celebrating its 10th Birthday.

Hi Tango dancers,
We have the opportunity to perform at the Phoenix v Boca Juniors game at the Westpac Stadium on Friday afternoon the 23rd of July, We spoke to the promoters today and they thought it would be a great idea to have several tango dancers in the crowd to get up and dance at half time to get up when the music starts,
This is a great opportunity to promote tango to the wider community!
They are going to advertise for us, including our tangonNZ website.
We need to confirm numbers with them by this Monday so if you are keen then let us know via email.
We need to know by Sunday afternoon so we can confirm the details with them.
You would get free entry to the stadium football game too of course! (worth about $45 each)

On Thursday Tete Rusconi died in BA. He was considered by many as one of the finest vals dancers in the world.
Many Kiwi dancers will have met him or seen him dance on their travels to BA. It's a sad day.
From the Milongueando Team:
"A sad day to know we have lost a dear friend, Tete. We'll miss his genius on the dance floor, his enthusiasm, his passion, his boundless creativity. We'll be ever grateful for the legacy he leaves behind. Un fuerte abrazo, Tete. Te extrañamos!"

Eight couples in total, three for this Sunday the 6th, three for Sunday the 13th and two couples for the 20th its an amateur group competition so there is no pressure!! and its alot of fun!
